Selecting Replace with Reconditioned

Highlight the part to be replaced in the database. Select the Replace button. After you select the operation, the program behaves differently depending on the operation you select, and whether or not your profile is set to automatically list available reconditioned parts. Selecting a reconditioned part for the estimate will insert it (not the OEM part), into the estimate. Aftermarket parts are marked with a double asterisk beside the estimate line.

Note: For you to select a reconditioned part, the Reconditioned database must enabled.

If your profile is set to automatically list reconditioned parts, and if a reconditioned part is available, selecting the Replace button opens the reconditioned Database screen. Highlight the Aftermarket part you want to choose. You can then add the part to the estimate, with or without changes, or cancel the operation.

If your profile is set to manually list Reconditioned parts, you must manually open the Reconditioned database. To do this, press the K key.

To select a reconditioned part

Open the workfile.
Select the Estimate tab, and then select the Lines tab.
Select the MOTOR tab, and then select a group, subgroup, and a part from the database panel.
If your estimating rules are set to automatically display recycled parts, highlight a part, and select the Replace, or Compare button. The Select Reconditioned Part screen opens.

If your estimating rules are set to manually display reconditioned parts, highlight the part, and press the K key or select the Recond button on the Operations toolbar. The Select Reconditioned Part screen opens.

Select the Compare button. The Estimate Line Properties - Comparison tab screen opens. Select the button to the right of the Reconditioned label in the Part Type column. The Select Reconditioned Part screen opens.
Highlight the part you want, and select the Add To Estimate button.
